This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in getting more engaged in their community to learn how they can begin making a real impact through organisations such as community development trusts. Prepare to be inspired!
Topics such as architectural and urban design, fundraising and stakeholder engagement will be covered.
The event will feature presentations, case studies, Q&A sessions, group discussions and networking opportunities for community groups and not-for-profit organisations.
The speakers at this event include:
- Ben Bolgar from The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community on enhancing built heritage through architectural and urban design
- Colette Craddock, Development Director of Princes Regeneration Trust, on fundraising from private sources
- A member of the team who worked on the regeneration of Linlithgow Burgh Halls who will be presenting a case study of the project.
Group discussions will focus on funding options for your projects and principles of good places, and a tour of the venue will provide an opportunity to see how a potential project can become a successful community space.
Early bird tickets cost just £19 (including lunch). A number of travel bursaries of £25 per person (or £50 if your journey is over 200 miles) are also available on application.
